Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Lead AI Engineer in Charlotte to guide AI platform development, optimize model performance, and drive ML experimentation and deployment. You will mentor engineers, architect data pipelines, and ensure secure, scalable AI solutions across the business.

The role requires strong Java/Python proficiency, ML and DL expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact AI capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 6 years of experience executing and deploying data science, ML, and DL, ML platform engineering, MLOps tools, and ML frameworks.
• 6 years of programming experience in Java and/or Python.
• 4 years of experience working with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development of the AI platform and ensures scalability for a wide spectrum of AI models.
• Leads architectural design, development and implementation of tools/frameworks for ML experimentation and deployment.
• Orchestrates resource management for GPU/CPU to boost model performance and cost efficiency.
• Mentors junior team members to integrate AI models into the platform.
• Develops and manages data movement pipelines to support training and inference.
