Job summary

Vantor is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to build and maintain AI-enabled applications, focusing on agent-based workflows and RAG pipelines. You will design architectures, memory management, and tool integration, leveraging LLMs through APIs and frameworks.

The role involves full-stack development, data processing, and PostgreSQL schema design to ensure scalable, reliable enterprise solutions. Must be on site in the DC area with a US clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years with a Bachelor’s, 7+ with Master’s, or 6+ with Doctorate.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Willingness to work onsite full time.
• US citizenship required.
• Proficiency in Python and common data/AI libraries.
• Experience developing AI/ML applications with LLMs, RAG, or retrieval-based capabilities.
• Experience with agent-based programming concepts and AI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML foundational concepts and model integration patterns.
• Experience designing REST APIs to retrieve or process data.
• Familiarity with production-ready development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain AI/ML-enabled applications focusing on agent-based workflows and RAG.
• Design and support agent-based architectures, including orchestration, tooling, and memory management.
• Implement and maintain RAG pipelines, including embedding generation and retrieval config.
• Integrate LLMs into applications via APIs and AI frameworks.
• Develop REST Python-based services to support data retrieval and integration.
• Support full-stack development of production-ready AI applications.
• Process and organize structured and unstructured data for AI workflows.
• Refine Postgres schemas to improve data organization and scalability.
• Optimize AI-enabled apps for performance and reliability in enterprise environments.
