Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Advanced Concepts & Technologies Group (Group 39) seeks a technically skilled professional to develop and apply AI, modeling, and data‑analysis methods for technology development and assessment.

Our team collaborates with government sponsors to understand complex problems, develop new capabilities, and quantitatively evaluate emerging technologies and concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
• Programming in Python, Julia, or similar language.
• Experience in AI, ML, or computational decision modeling.
• Ability to develop software, models, or analytical capabilities.
• Familiarity with structured and unstructured data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply AI, modeling or analysis capabilities for tech development and assessment.
• Translate questions into quantitative analyses, models and evaluation approaches.
• Develop and evaluate AI/ML methods including deep learning and RL.
• Create statistical and physics-based models of complex systems.
• Conduct quantitative studies and analyze complex datasets.
• Develop software prototypes and analysis tools with proper CI/CD.
