Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a highly experienced engineer to own the orchestration layer and agent architecture behind AI-based workflows in its Innovation, Data & Analytics team.

You will build and harden production-grade agentic systems, design prompts and integrations, and translate methodology into reliable tools while partnering with data science, data engineering, and governance teams. Hybrid work options across NYHQ/PA locations are available.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
8+ years with Bachelor's; 7+ years with Master's in software or ML engineering, healthcare/pharma sector preferred.
Experience with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, Pydantic AI or similar).
Strong production system design and testing background.
Experience integrating LLM APIs and exposure to MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

Own orchestration frameworks and agent architecture for AI-based workflows.
Build and harden agentic workflows for production use.
Design prompt architecture and tool/API integrations across agentic systems.
Translate methodology and evaluation criteria into deployed agents.
Partner with data teams to ensure governance and cost controls.
