Job summary

Apexon is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design and productionize Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions in Indianapolis. You will work hands-on with GenAI, LLMs, RAG, ML, and AWS to build end-to-end systems.

The role requires 5-9 years of experience, strong Python skills, and expertise with AWS tools like Bedrock and SageMaker. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and healthcare/生命科学 domain exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 5-9 years of hands-on AI/ML with AWS.
• Experience building GenAI and LLM applications.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks.
• Experience with prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG.

Responsibilities

AI/ML Engineer - Generative AI & Agentic AI- Indianapolis - Fulltime

We are looking for a hands-on AI/ML Engineer to build and productionize AI solutions using Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and AWS.

• Build end-to-end GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI, and ML solutions using Python.
• Develop LLM applications with prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, tool calling, and structured outputs.
• Build agentic workflows using frameworks such as AWS Strands, LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent.
• Develop and deploy solutions using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, OpenSearch, API Gateway, and ECS/Fargate.
• Implement testing, monitoring, security, CI/CD, and production support.
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, DevOps, QA, and client teams.
• Work with and gain hands-on proficiency in Halo and Skybridge platforms.
• 5-9 years of overall experience with strong hands-on AI/ML + AWS implementation experience.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Good understanding of AWS cloud architecture, APIs, databases, security, and CI/CD.
• Experience in Healthcare & Life Sciences is preferred.
• Halo and Skybridge experience is a strong plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s of Science or Equivalent Studies.
