Ascendion seeks a Senior AI Engineer - Agentic Systems to design, build, deploy, and operate production-grade Agentic AI solutions for enterprise-scale use cases. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience shipping AI agents to production, troubleshooting real-world failures, and building reliable AI services and orchestration frameworks. The role involves Python backends and Java service integration, with a salary range of $120,000–$125,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with production delivery.
• Hands-on in Agentic AI / GenAI production deployments.
• Experience with LangChain and LangGraph for agent orchestration.
• Experience with Kubernetes or similar production AI infrastructure.
• Java experience or ability to work with Java-based enterprise services.
• Strong AI monitoring, debugging, and production ops knowledge.

About the Role

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience shipping AI agents to production, troubleshooting real-world failures, and building reliable AI services and orchestration frameworks.

Job Title: Senior AI Engineer - Agentic Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, monitor, and operate scalable Agentic AI systems.
• Design agent orchestration and autonomous/semi-autonomous workflows.
• Develop enterprise tools/skills enabling LLM agents to interact with business systems.
• Build reliable Python-based backend services and integrate with enterprise Java services.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
• Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver AI solutions from concept to production.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with proven production delivery.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI / GenAI applications in production.
• Experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph for agent orchestration.
• Experience with Kubernetes or comparable production AI infrastructure.
• Java experience or ability to work within Java-based enterprise service layers.
• Strong understanding of AI system monitoring, debugging, failure modes, and production operations.
• Experience owning AI use cases end-to-end, from requirements through production delivery.
• Ability to clearly explain a shipped Agentic AI system, including architecture, deployment, monitoring, failures, and resolutions.

Desired Qualifications

• Production experience with LangGraph.
• vLLM or comparable model-serving infrastructure.
• Financial services or other regulated-industry experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions with business stakeholders.

Salary Range

The salary?for this position is between$120,000 - $125,000annually.? Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
