Job summary

Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS) seeks a Data Scientist to support DoD/DoW customers. You will work at the intersection of data science, applied research, and software engineering to develop advanced capabilities, prototype new applications, and help deliver cutting-edge products for high-impact government missions.

Join cross-functional teams and apply NLP/LLMs, geospatial analytics, forecasting, and data fusion while collaborating with engineers, PMs, and analysts.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is essential to comply with government contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance or agency work suitability determination.
• Willingness to work full time in a hybrid environment in the Washington DC area.
• Degree in data science, statistics, CS, math, engineering, GIS or related technical field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data science, ML/AI, or analytic problem solving.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and software development.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience with Docker, APIs (FastAPI), and GitHub workflows.
• Ability to interface with customers and translate requests into projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver ML/AI enabled capabilities for mission-critical problems.
• Prototype new applications and capabilities for DoD/DoW customer needs.
• Develop data pipelines, features, and models for complex domains.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams including engineers and product managers.
