Job summary

Trident Systems is seeking a Data Scientist for a remote role supporting DoD customers. The Senior Data Scientist will work on time-series telemetry data, health monitoring, anomaly detection, forecasting, and decision-support models using Python and modern ML frameworks.

You will collaborate with engineers, visualization specialists, and program leadership to move analytics from research into production and embedded environments, with U.S.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field with 0+ years of experience, or Bachelor's with 2+ years experience.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and machine learning.
• Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• NLP techniques and toolchains experience.
• Familiarity with time-series data, telemetry, or sensor datasets.
• Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Clear written and verbal communication of technical concepts.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate machine learning models using Python on time-series and telemetry data.
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and preprocessing on structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Utilize NLP and probabilistic modeling to extract data from maintenance records.
• Develop Physics-informed models based on known signal relationships.
• Implement anomaly detection, predictive modeling, and trend analysis in operational data.
• Support model validation, performance evaluation, and documentation.
• Contribute to deployment of models into production and embedded environments.
• Collaborate with data visualization and software teams to integrate outputs into dashboards.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for stakeholders.
• Stay current with ML techniques and best practices.
