Job summary

Tech Mirrors is seeking an AI/ML Data Science Lead in Cary, NC to head the data science team and deliver AI/ML solutions for marketing and business engagement. The role emphasizes ownership of technical decisions, timelines and production stability across a defined domain.

You will design, train and optimize ML models, analyze complex datasets for insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to deploy data-driven solutions via APIs, SDKs and microservices, using Python and Azure in a cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering or math.
• 8+ years of AI/ML engineering or data science experience.
• 5+ years in insurance or financial analytics related to sales, marketing or customer engagement.
• Production ML/GenAI design, deployment and operation with APIs, batch and real-time inference.
• Python-based ML model development in the cloud.
• Responsible AI practices including privacy, bias mitigation and monitoring.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills for anomaly detection and EDA.
• Experience with Power BI and Azure ML.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data science team delivering AI/ML solutions for marketing and business engagement use cases.
• Own technical decisions, project outcomes, timelines and production stability.
• Plan and execute data science use cases aligned with business goals.
• Design, train and optimize ML/DL models for marketing and engagement.
• Analyze complex data sets to uncover trends and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams on data-driven solutions.
• Enable seamless AI integration into applications via APIs, SDKs and microservices.
• Visualize data, prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
• Develop statistical models and analytics using Python and cloud tools (Azure).
• Stay updated with AI advances; apply ML/Ops best practices for scalability and reliability.
