Ford Motor Company is seeking a leadership-level expert to drive AI/ML initiatives in battery manufacturing. You will work at the frontier of process and launch, evaluating and piloting new methods and turning benchmarks into scalable ideas for plants to adopt.

The role requires deep ML knowledge tied to physics, with extensive experience in manufacturing data and leading technical directions alongside process and controls engineers. Hybrid onsite work is required in Dearborn, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering or CS; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with several years in applied AI/ML on real production or process systems.
• Strong background in manufacturing/process data and statistical methods.
• Ability to bridge physics and ML with process engineers.

Responsibilities

• Stay at the frontier of AI for battery manufacturing and pilot new methods.
• Evaluate and launch AI/ML methods in process and launch phases.
• Lead technical direction and collaboration with plant engineers.
