Job summary

Lockheed Martin seeks an autonomy/AI software engineer to develop, integrate, and deploy advanced algorithms across mission systems. You will translate requirements into production code and support the full development life cycle from testing through deployment.

Responsibilities include implementing human–machine interfaces, reviewing test results, and debugging autonomy software while collaborating with teams across LM products and platforms.

Qualifications

• Foundational programming experience in Python, TypeScript, or comparable languages.
• Understands core generative AI concepts and has applied them in simple use cases.
• Wraps generative AI prompts within applications or workflows to automate tasks.
• Designs simple integrations between AI assistants and APIs; understands tool calling basics.
• Configures AI-enabled development accelerators to automate tasks or generate code.

Responsibilities

• Develops, integrates, and deploys autonomy/AI algorithms for LM products.
• Translates requirements into software, tests and debugs across the life cycle.
• Implements human-machine interfaces and documents interface requirements.
• Reviews test outcomes and troubleshoots issues in autonomy software.
