Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media. Hold live conversations with AI voice models, compare image and video pairs, and explain what’s off, remotely and on your schedule. You will help shape AI systems by providing evaluations and written explanations.

Ideal candidates are fluent in English with strong written communication and attention to detail. Roles can be done from home with fully remote, flexible hours and competitive per-hour pay.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail; patient to replay or zoom in.
• Nice to have: pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree or above.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and discussing realistic situations.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to make clear decisions when both options have flaws.
• Currently accepting applicants from Australia, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking naturalness and usefulness.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging prompt adherence.
• Inspecting outputs closely to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering or unusual motion, text errors, and audio-video mismatches.
• Rating outputs across dimensions and writing an English explanation of what you saw or heard.
• Common tasks include image evaluations, video evaluations, video caption labeling, and audio/voice evaluations.
