Job summary

Drafter Inc. is seeking a CAD Integration Engineer to own the bridge between our AI platform and the CAD/PLM systems engineers use daily. You will develop high-performance C#/.NET integrations for tools like SolidWorks and NX, ensuring a seamless, consumer-grade experience for world-class hardware organizations.

You will own core differentiators, build plugins and connectors at the SDK level, and collaborate with a small, fast-moving team to translate user needs into scalable, high-quality code.

Qualifications

• 2–12 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET.
• Hands-on experience building CAD/PLM integrations for SolidWorks, NX, or Teamcenter.
• U.S. citizen based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust CAD and PLM integrations using C# and Visual Studio to enable novel manufacturing solutions within monolithic engineering systems.
• Collaborate across the full stack, integrating RESTful APIs and WebSockets to enable real-time data manipulation and highly responsive 3D visualizations.
• Conduct performance testing and optimization to ensure a smooth, interactive UX while maintaining high-quality, scalable code in a fast-paced startup.
