Job summary

Goodwin’s Global Operations Team is seeking a AI Legal Co‑op in Boston to design and implement workflow automations and AI-assisted solutions across legal and business operations. You’ll work closely with Partners and senior GO Team leaders to translate ambiguous workflows into practical, scalable technology initiatives with MD guidance.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering/IS or related fields, with a track record in building automation prototypes or AI-enabled tooling,

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience building workflow automations, technical prototypes, or AI‑assisted solutions is preferred.
• Knowledge of workflow automation concepts, system integration, and modern AI‑enabled technologies.
• Ability to translate non‑technical input into structured technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with partners and senior GO Team leaders to understand end‑to‑end workflows and opportunities for automation.
• Design, prototype, and implement workflow automations and AI‑assisted solutions with MD supervision.
• Translate defined problems into scoped technical solutions, selecting tools and approaches with MD input.
• Evaluate solution paths with MD input to balance speed, reliability, governance, and maintainability.
• Leverage scripting languages, APIs, AI tools, and low‑code/no‑code platforms to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
• Coordinate testing, document, and iterate solutions based on feedback and usage patterns.
• Develop reusable automation patterns, templates, and docs to support scaling across teams.
• Collaborate with Technology, Knowledge, Security, and Risk to align with standards and governance.
