Job summary

Harris Healthcare is seeking an AI Innovation Specialist to partner with our VP of AI Innovation and drive rapid prototyping across 25+ healthcare software businesses. You’ll build AI-powered demos, enable engineering teams, and identify high-value opportunities for scalable AI initiatives.

This role is remote within the U.S., with up to 25% travel to Harris units and partner sites. You’ll contribute to our AI maturity framework and help teams adopt repeatable AI practices while delivering

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical, product, or innovation-adjacent role.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience building using AI tools. You’ve shipped something using Claude, GPT, Cursor, or similar, and you can show your work
• Comfortable communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences
• Genuinely curious. You dig into problems, ask good questions, and get as much out of teaching others as you do from learning something new
• You follow through. When you take something on, it gets done, and people know they can count on you for it
• Positive by default. You bring energy to ambiguous situations and make the people around you better
• Healthcare or enterprise software background is a plus, not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered prototypes that solve real problems across our business units, often moving from concept to working demo in a matter of days
• Use AI-assisted development tools to ship software faster and show engineering and product teams what’s within reach
• Work with business unit leaders to find high‑value AI opportunities and turn them into concrete projects
• Lead and co‑facilitate workshops and working sessions that build AI fluency across the organization
• Document what works, share findings, and help teams develop repeatable AI practices
• Contribute to the development of Harris’s AI maturity framework and related tooling

Harris Healthcare is building AI into the foundation of how our portfolio operates across 25+ healthcare software businesses. The AI Innovation Specialist will work directly with our VP of AI Innovation to make that happen — through prototyping, enablement, and hands‑on partnership with our business units.

This is a role for someone who’s already building with AI and wants to do it at real scale inside a complex organization.

The AI Innovation Specialist is eligible for anyone who can work remote within the U.S.

What You’ll Do

• Build AI-powered prototypes that solve real problems across our business units, often moving from concept to working demo in a matter of days

Travel:

• This role requires travel to Harris business units and partner sites, up to 25% of the time.
• Travel commitments are expected throughout the year, with monthly travel frequency varying based on project and business requirements.

• $80 - 110K
