Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Technical Staff-Platform Architect to join the Engineering Technologist Team in Santa Clara, CA. You will shape AI infrastructure, drive platform-level innovations, and influence product strategies across data center architectures.

Lead collaborations with customers and partners to tailor AI workloads, optimize deployments, and push the boundaries of scalable infrastructure. Strong emphasis on architectural trade-offs and IP creation.

Qualifications

• Drive architectural trade-offs and model selection with open-source and commercial AI workflows.
• Plan and document AI solutions that meet stated business needs.
• Experience deploying enterprise clusters and AI workflows for training and inference.
• Understand computer architecture including CPUs, accelerators, networking, storage, and benchmarking.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% to assess customer requirements and develop blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI software and hardware designs based on customer requirements to scale AI workloads.
• Optimize software and hardware configurations for max datacenter performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with partners to create differentiated solutions and enterprise architectures.
• Engage with customers to drive innovation at workload, platform, and datacenter levels; shape future products.
• Participate in internal/industry forums and contribute IP through invention disclosures.
• Maintain multi-year roadmaps and conduct technology reviews aligned with business objectives.
