Job summary

American Express is seeking an AI Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable AI-enabled infrastructure. You will ensure deployments meet standards, resolve issues, and document solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include applying AI-assisted tooling, building robust pipelines, and collaborating with security and platform teams to support AI workloads across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in infrastructure engineering or cloud engineering with AI workloads.
• Hands-on support for AI-enabled infrastructure and automation.
• Experience with security, observability, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and IaC tooling.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable AI infrastructure deployments.
• Develop and maintain design docs and runbooks for infrastructure projects.
• Ensure platform availability, performance, and capacity planning.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and ML workflows into deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with security, risk, and platform teams for secure multi-tenant infra.
