Advantest America Inc. is seeking an AI Infrastructure Applications Engineer Intern in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on learning and supporting the Velocity EDA-to-ATE software platform and leveraging AI-based tools to connect Velocity outputs with engineering workflows.

You will gain hands-on experience across semiconductor design, validation, and test, collaborating with experienced engineers to deploy automation methods that improve efficiency and accelerate time-to-market.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of digital design or semiconductor fundamentals.
• Experience or familiarity with Python, Java, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Support Velocity EDA-to-ATE conversion workflows for semiconductor applications.
• Contribute to conversion activities involving STIL, WGL, EVCD, and related formats.
• Assist in debugging and analysis of conversion, timing, and pattern issues.
• Develop automation scripts and utilities using Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to learn DFT, simulation, and ATE production workflows.
• Assist in log analysis, data processing, and structured data interpretation.
• Support validation and regression testing of conversion flows.
• Participate in AI-assisted engineering workflows, including pattern diagnostics and data analysis.
• Document workflows, findings, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
