Job summary

Equinix is seeking an experienced software architect to design scalable, secure, and interoperable solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will collaborate with product, development, and operations teams to align architecture with the product roadmap and business goals.

The role requires technical leadership, code review, and thoughtful evaluation of open source and third-party options. You will drive architecture decisions, participate in reviews, and contribute to DevOps practices

Qualifications

10+ years experience in software architecture and development.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

Provides appropriate design solutions and verifies stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of architecture.
Participates in architectural review process and aligns architecture with product roadmap.
Delivers technical leadership for design of multiple products and evaluates open source adoption.
Writes code based on open source and third party packages and participates in cross-technical integration and peer reviews.
Sets testing standards and recommends testing frameworks.
Articulates a vision of on-prem and cloud infrastructure and drives its realization.
Manages internal/external customer relationships and defines SLA metrics and compliance reports.
Acts as technical liaison for customer advisories and cross-functional releases.
Defines schedule with project managers and provides overall project status reporting.
Investigates new technologies and keeps abreast of developments to influence strategy.
