Cognition is an applied AI lab building end-to-end software agents, creators of Devin and Windsurf. You will own the core infrastructure powering Devin’s task execution and Windsurf’s editor intelligence, focusing on scalable compute, orchestration, networking, and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed infrastructure with a focus on reliability and operability.
• Strong programming fundamentals with ability to contribute code in production systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own agent execution infrastructure, including compute environments, VM orchestration, containers, and resource scheduling at scale.
• Build and maintain the internal developer platform, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and abstractions for fast product shipping.
• Drive reliability and observability: define SLOs, implement monitoring/alerts, lead incident responses, and improve postmortems.
