ECPI University’s Manassas campus seeks a Cybersecurity Faculty Member with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will integrate AI into cybersecurity and networking curricula and deliver engaging instruction onsite.

The role emphasizes teaching AI-enabled cybersecurity and networking, developing curricula with academic leadership, and staying current with AI advancements to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 18+ graduate semester hours in the discipline.
• Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience (10+ years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for AI applications in cybersecurity and networking
• Collaborate with academic leadership to develop and refine AI-focused curriculum

This position will work at ECPI University’s Manassas, VA campus location.

Compensation: $1,499 – $1,801 per course section. Compensation is determined by discipline, credential level, and course type. Ranges reflect good faith estimates based on current pay practices.

Overview

ECPI University is seeking a Cybersecurity Faculty Member with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role focuses on integrating AI into cybersecurity and networking curriculum while delivering engaging instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for AI applications in cybersecurity and networking
• Collaborate with academic leadership to develop and refine AI-focused curriculum
• Teach courses related to cybersecurity, networking, and AI integration
• Apply innovative teaching strategies to enhance student outcomes
• Integrate emerging AI tools, techniques, and real-world use cases into instruction
• Stay current with advancements in AI and cybersecurity

Education

• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field OR
• Master’s degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in the discipline
• Ph.D. strongly preferred

Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence applications in cybersecurity
• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience (10+ years preferred)
• Teaching, training, or speaking experience preferred

Technical Skills

• AI/ML concepts and applications in cybersecurity
• Networking fundamentals
• Windows and Linux systems

Preferred

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Security automation and AI-driven threat detection

Certifications (Preferred)

• CISSP
• CEH
• CHFI
