Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise or HPC storage operations, with AI/ML workload experience.
• Hands-on deployment with WEKA, VAST Data, Ceph, or DDN/Lustre.
• Strong understanding of AI training I/O patterns and data movement.
• Experience with high-performance storage networking (NFS over RDMA, NVMe‑oF).
• Knowledge of GPU Direct Storage and RDMA-based data transfer.
• Proficiency in storage benchmarking and tuning (fio, IOR, mdtest).
• Experience implementing multi-tenant storage with QoS and isolation.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and runbook‑as‑code mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate parallel storage systems optimized for AI workloads (checkpoint I/O bursts, dataset reads).
• Configure per-tenant QoS, quotas, and access controls; optimize GPU Direct Storage paths.
• Manage storage networking and cluster-wide storage orchestration; diagnose performance.
• Plan capacity with GPU growth; oversee firmware, data migration, and DR procedures.
• Instrument telemetry and contribute to an AI fault predictor; automate SOPs as code.
