Job summary

RELX INC seeks a Responsible AI Governance Specialist to ensure Responsible AI principles are understood and applied across AI design, development, deployment, monitoring, and governance teams.

You will document AI systems, manage risk intake, compile governance reports, and coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to embed requirements into operating processes. Strong writing and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building, evaluating, deploying, governing, or supporting AI/ML systems.
• Applied experience with AI/ML concepts, data science workflows, software delivery processes, and governance controls.
• Strong understanding of AI governance concepts and risk domains (bias, fairness, explainability, privacy, security, transparency, accountability).
• Familiarity with AI risk and governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, responsible AI principles, model risk management).
• Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory requirements (CCPA, GDPR, emerging AI regs).
• Ability to produce traceable governance reports with clear evidence, ownership, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with team leads to document AI systems, use cases, risks, controls, ownership, approvals, and governance processes.
• Maintain the AI use case inventory and lifecycle documentation with complete, current records.
• Compile and maintain model cards or documentation packages from design docs, evaluation reports, and release records.
• Coordinate AI risk intake and tiering, ensuring required documentation and approvals are captured.
• Produce governance reports with clear lineage from use cases to audit responses.
• Maintain evidence packages for AI labeling and user disclosure, including UI screenshots and disclosure notes.
• Document human intervention and feedback mechanisms and how they improve models.
• Document explainability and transparency practices (Agentic AI, RAG, citations, validation, grounding).
• Track governance, testing, quality assurance evidence (offline evaluations, regression tests, gates, monitoring).
• Support quarterly reviews and audits to identify gaps and remediation actions.
• Drive follow-up across teams to keep governance records complete and current.
• Coordinate responses to governance, audit, legal, compliance requests.
• Support policy development and distribution of governance standards.
