AlphaGov is seeking an AI Governance Specialist to develop practical AI-use and governance policy for public agencies and utilities. This remote-first role emphasizes guardrails, risk assessment, privacy, model documentation, and implementation-ready policy frameworks for multi-entity AI services pursuits.

You will draft comprehensive policies tailored to public-operating contexts, define guardrails, produce templates, and advise on adoption roadmaps that balance innovation with public trust.

Qualifications

• Experience in AI governance or responsible-AI or AI data governance.
• Ability to translate frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF) into usable agency policy.
• Willingness to work as a 1099/project-based collaborator with travel for client sites.

AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.

We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.

Required:

• AI governance, responsible-AI, or AI data-governance practice experience
• Ability to translate frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF or comparable) into usable agency policy
• Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites

Nice to have:

• Public-sector data-policy or privacy experience
• Utility, municipal, or higher-education AI policy work
• Prior NIST AI RMF, EO 14110-adjacent, or state AI-policy implementations
