Job summary

Origami Risk is seeking an AI Governance Analyst to develop and implement AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure AI systems operate within risk and compliance boundaries.

Starting base pay ranges from $100,000 to $122,000, with eligibility for bonus and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellness, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. The role supports audits and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of information security experience with IT audit/GRC focus.
  • Experience with audit standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain AI governance policies, standards, and frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO 42001, etc.).
  • Identify potential risks and evaluate severity and likelihood.
  • Conduct AI model risk assessments (bias, explainability, data quality, security).
  • Monitor third-party AI tools and vendor risk management.
  • Support internal and external audits related to AI systems.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Privacy, Security, and Technology teams.
  • Build awareness of AI governance requirements across the organization.
  • Lead risk assessments and controls design.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of AI/ML concepts (model types, training, deployment, bias, explainability).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job description

The AI Governance Analyst plays a critical role in the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure organizational AI systems operate within risk and compliance boundaries.

Starting base pay for this role is between $100,000 and $122,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains AI governance policies, standards, and frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO 42001, etc.)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in information security with a focus on IT audit and/or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) role.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent team player.
  • Preferred: Experience with ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and SSAE 18/SOC audits.
  • Preferred: Relevant security or security audit and compliance certifications (i.e., Security+, CISA, CRISC, CISSP).
