Job summary

Origami Risk is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead a team of product managers across the Claims suite, guiding vision, strategy, and execution. You will set expectations for AI usage within the SDLC and drive rapid prototyping to deliver measurable value.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure customer outcomes, growth, and market leadership while upholding Origami Risk’s standards for security and client trust.

Job description

The Group Product Manager (GPM) is a senior player/coach responsible for leading a team of Product Managers across a suite of Origami products or modules, ensuring a cohesive vision and execution strategy. The GPM for Claims is responsible for ensuring the Claims products they own deliver meaningful customer outcomes and contribute to Origami Risk’s growth and market leadership. In addition to defining and executing product strategy, the Group Product Manager establishes clear expectations for how their teams strategically and responsibly use AI throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This includes leveraging AI to accelerate research and discovery, improve the quality and speed of product artifacts, enable rapid prototyping and experimentation, and enhance data‑driven decision‑making—while upholding Origami Risk’s standards for security, privacy, and client trust.

Starting base pay for this role is between $145,000 and $185,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities
  • Leads, mentors, and inspires a team of Product Managers and Product Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Establishes clear expectations for the team’s use of AI throughout the SDLC, including research, discovery, delivery, and post-release evaluation.
  • Guides the use of AI-assisted research techniques (e.g., synthesis, summarization, trend analysis) to improve speed and depth of customer, market, and competitive insights.
  • Ensures the team uses AI to support content and artifact generation, including product requirements, PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, release notes, internal communications, and stakeholder-facing materials, while maintaining clarity, accuracy, and human judgment.
  • Champions rapid prototyping and experimentation using AI-enabled tools to explore solution options, validate assumptions, and reduce time to learning.
  • Provides oversight of the team, ensuring alignment with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and underlying processes.
  • Monitors and reports on product KPIs and business metrics to optimize the Product and ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the tea m and products .
  • Develops and maintains deep expertise in the competitive landscape, including direct competitors, adjacent solutions, pricing strategies, and evolving marketing trends.
  • Researches and identifies emerging AI, data, market, and technology trends to influence the product roadmap and promote innovation and differentiation.
  • Uses data, experimentation, and AI-driven insights to validate roadmap prioritization and proposed solution builds, ensuring problems are worth solving and solutions deliver measurable value.
  • Translates commercial strategy and competitive insights in clear product vision, and roadmap priorities to define and oversee a prioritized roadmap across the team of Product Managers for a single and clear strategic vision for suites of products/modules.
  • Researches and identifies emerging market and technology needs to influence the market roadmap and promote innovation and differentiation.
  • Uses data to validate roadmap prioritization and proposed solution builds. Ensures that we are solving the right problems and that these problems are worth solving.
  • Advocates for the customer by proactively seeking out and engaging with clients to understand pain points and problems we need to solve for.
  • Partners with cross-functional team to ensure successful rollout of team functionality and solutions in alignment with department procedures.
  • Communicates with other Product Managers and department leadership to ensure complementary/non-conflicting roadmaps.
  • Partners with key stakeholders, including but not limited to design, architecture, marketing, and business representatives.
  • Champions and models Origami Risk’s values (Prioritize Clients’ Trust and Success, Innovate with an Entrepreneurial Spirit, Collaborate and Win as a Team).
  • Performs ongoing team member career development and performance evaluations in addition to the annual performance and compensation review process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology , business, liberal arts, science, or engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must have an understanding of software development lifecycle processes and technologies.
  • Prior Risk Management and/or P&C Insurance experience strongly preferred.
