Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company, is seeking a Data Scientist to lead AI/ML initiatives across domains. You will build predictive models, test and deploy them with ML engineers, and monitor performance post-deployment to ensure business value.

You will collaborate with senior data scientists, provide analytical insights, and mentor junior team members while adhering to best practices and governance in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years data science/predictive analytics in (re)insurance or 4+ years predictive modeling in another industry.
• Experience building and deploying statistical and ML models to address business challenges.
• Familiarity with data wrangling, quality evaluation, and data cleaning for analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI/ML models with general guidance.
• Act as liaison between ML Engineers and Data Science team for deployments and testing.
• Present modeling results to stakeholders and management as needed.
• Tackle loosely defined problems to yield actionable insights for customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Prepare data and identify anomalies under guidance, adjusting as required.
• Document assumptions, results, and alternatives for team members and stakeholders.
