Job summary

Theron Solutions is seeking a technologist to lead design and delivery of AI-enabled backend solutions in a cloud environment. You will own end-to-end implementation, prototype through production, and guide engineers across software, AI, data, cloud and platform technologies.

Responsibilities include designing APIs, data flows, and integration patterns; mentoring junior developers; and communicating trade-offs and risks to stakeholders. Strong debugging and cloud skills are essential.

Qualifications

Experience developing backend services, APIs and distributed applications.
Experience processing and transforming structured and/or unstructured data.
Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
Experience with Git, testing frameworks, code reviews and modern software engineering practices.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
Exposure to LLMs and AI application development and integration.

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer problems and translate them into scalable solutions.
Own end-to-end technical implementation from discovery through production deployment.
Design and develop application services, APIs, integrations and AI-enabled solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
Review code for quality, security, and maintainability.
