Job summary

EY seeks a hands-on Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems for a single client in regulated industries. Embedded with the client, you’ll balance technical depth with strong stakeholder management to deliver secure, production-grade solutions within constraints.

You will lead a small cell, define technical direction, and ensure production readiness while remaining hands-on in code and data. The role offers a hybrid model and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems in regulated or client-facing contexts.
• Hands-on engineering across integration-heavy architectures, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled application stacks (e.g., agentic systems, orchestration frameworks).
• Proven ability to operate in forward-deployed, customer-facing roles, owning outcomes end to end.
• Experience leading a small technical team while remaining an individual contributor.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills in high-pressure environments.
• Knowledge of SDLC, quality gates, and production readiness in enterprise settings.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end outcome delivery for the cell, including scoping, tradeoffs, and production readiness.
• Embed with the client to translate business needs into executable technical solutions.
• Serve as primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Stay hands-on, designing and building critical parts of the solution.
• Deploy, adapt, and stabilize solutions in the client environment with templates and profiles.
• Direct the work of the cell’s engineers to ensure coherent, production-grade outcomes.
• Ensure deployments meet safety, integrity, and cost constraints.
