Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Engineer with a focus on AI for our largest PRIME contract. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, and the role involves building agentic integrations with Python and AI models on production systems.

You will collaborate with analysts and engineers to deliver rapid iterations, leverage modern frameworks, and contribute to mission-critical software across design, data, and testing activities on a fully funded program with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree.
• 3 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience with Python and JSON handling.
• Experience leveraging HTTP-based APIs to access data through queries.
• Experience with AI development concepts, including prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool/function calling.
• Familiarity with Git for software source control and Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• Experience presenting data analysis results to customers.

Responsabilités

• Develop agentic integrations with Python that leverage multiple AI models, APIs, and data sources in production
• Build tools and agentic workflows using modern frameworks such as PydanticAI, LangGraph, and DeepAgents
• Collaborate with mission stakeholders to gather requirements and develop effective technical solutions
• Navigate customer data types to identify and extract relevant information
• Collaborate with software engineers to test workflows, identify issues, and recommend solutions
