Job summary

Cengage Group seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building tools for our Learning Platforms. You will define and implement an AI-first roadmap with focus on quality and accessibility, working with product and design under the Product Operating Model.

You will coach a globally distributed engineering team, advance modern delivery with automation and GenAI, manage backlogs and budgets, and report progress to executives while staying ahead of new technologies.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in CS or related field or equivalent
• 2+ years technology leadership, global teams
• Experience with GenAI concepts and tooling
• Hands-on Java and React development experience (5+ yrs)
• Strong collaboration across product, design, and execs
