Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to develop the next-generation technologies for billions of users, spanning information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, AI, NLP, UI, and mobile.

As a software engineer, you will contribute to Google's AI-first infrastructure, work on projects critical to the company’s needs, and have opportunities to switch teams as our business grows, while collaborating with cross-functional groups

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Work as an AI-First SWE Engineer, who puts themselves directly in the customers' environment to understand and solve their issues.
• Use Agentic AI and Spec Driven Development to develop products and solutions with an AI-First mindset.
