Job summary

Gusto is seeking a Security TPM to own vulnerability management and security operations for an AI-native platform. You will drive centralized programs across Security, AIT, R&D, Infrastructure, GRC, and Risk, shaping multi-quarter visions and prioritizing work with senior stakeholders.

You will lead delivery of coverage across code, cloud, data, and edge with SIEM integration, monitoring, and privileged-access controls.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years leading cross-functional TPM or delivery work in security, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Experience taking programs from ambiguity to shipped in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management, security operations, SIEM, and identity access management.
• Ability to drive AI-plugin driven delivery and collaborate with security, GRC, and R&D teams.
• Excellent cross-team communication to keep stakeholders aligned.

Responsibilities

• Shape vulnerability management and security operations for an AI-native company; define multi‑quarter vision and prioritize with senior leaders.
• Deliver centralized vulnerability management across code, cloud, data, and edge; coordinate remediation routing and ownership.
• Lead security operations with detection, logging, SIEM integration, and insider-risk telemetry across systems and vendors.
• Launch daily security-health and vulnerability dashboards; drive monthly vulnerability reporting to leadership.
• Create AI-plugin driven security workflows and ensure automated evidence collection and checks.
• Plan scope, manage risk, track milestones, and meet audit/regulatory commitments.
• Roll out controls like JIT privileged access and secrets management with training and runbooks.
• Keep stakeholders aligned with regular updates and manage vendor commitments towards AI-forward practices.
• Monitor program budget, tooling spend, and implementation costs.
