Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to advance ERP and AI capabilities across the enterprise. This on-site role focuses on deploying AI features in ERP platforms like Workday and SAP Ariba, building scalable PaaS foundations, and delivering practical, ROI-driven solutions.

You will lead AI projects from concept to production, design deployment pipelines, ensure security and governance, and collaborate with business units to translate challenges into AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in IT/software engineering with hands-on experience in corporate environments.
• Proven track record deploying AI solutions to production in corporate settings (gen AI / agentic AI).
• 3+ years with enterprise cloud platforms (Workday, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or similar).
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with deployment pipelines, CI/CD, or DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML solutions including Gen AI, LLMs, or chatbots.
• Platform configuration expertise with enterprise SaaS/PaaS systems or IaaS.
• Integration skills: RESTful APIs, webhooks, data flows, OAuth/SAML.
• Data management: SQL, data pipelines, data quality assessment.
• Programming in Python.

Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges into practical AI opportunities and technical solutions.
• Deploy and configure AI capabilities in ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP Ariba).
• Build AI solutions including intelligent agents, chatbots and automation with Gen AI.
• Define and document technical specifications for ERP and AI deployments.
• Lead AI projects from concept to production with measurable ROI.
• Enable PaaS environments within Workday and SAP to support AI deployments.
• Develop deployment pipelines and engineering processes for PaaS services.
• Configure and integrate platform services, security, and governance with cloud services.
• Assess emerging technologies and contribute to ERP technology roadmap.
• Evaluate vendor vs. custom AI solutions based on requirements and cost.
• Champion AI literacy through training and demonstrations.
• Provide production support and knowledge training for deployed solutions.
