Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer in the English Language Arts Content Development team to create and review K-12 assessment content for state and district clients. You will act as a content and assessment expert, collaborating with educators, departments, and partners to ensure accessibility and standards alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• Five years’ teaching experience in elementary or secondary education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content area and educational trends.
• Experience with large-scale educational measurement preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply AI tools for content development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels.
• Develop item, passage, and test specifications and blueprints.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to create and review content meeting accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, manage, and train item/passage writers and educators.
• Facilitate and support customer meetings with content assessment expertise.
• Assist in test construction and review of composed test forms.
• Consult with customers including planning and status reviews.
• Work with test development managers, content developers, psychometricians, and Pearson groups.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies in educational content creation.
