Pearson Learning Studio (PLS) seeks an AI Engineering Manager to lead and scale an Agentic Workflow engineering organization. You will oversee a team of 5+ engineers across global sites, driving both technical excellence and people leadership.

This role focuses on people development, scalable delivery, and data-driven product engineering to build a high‑performing engineering organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• 8+ years of overall experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience scaling and leading distributed engineering teams across geographies.
• Strong technical background in SQL and data analytics systems, ReactJS, and Java-based backend services.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and scale a distributed engineering team of 5+ engineers, including senior engineers and team leads.
• Build a leadership bench by mentoring tech leads and emerging managers.
• Drive performance management with goal setting, feedback, and career development plans.
• Foster ownership, accountability, psychological safety, and continuous learning across geographies.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and capacity planning to support business growth.
• Ensure high levels of engagement, retention, and productivity.
