Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Technical Lead Manager, AI Engineering to serve as the technical authority for an AI product track. You will set architectural direction, review designs, and stay hands-on to guide complex ML projects through evaluation, development, and deployment.

You will manage a team of ML engineers, own a portion of the multi-year AI roadmaps, and collaborate with business-unit stakeholders to ensure value realization and robust production systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in machine learning or applied AI with production ownership.
• Experience mentoring or managing engineers.
• Deep expertise in at least one area: time-series/anomaly detection, CV for inspection, or LLM/agentic systems.
• Experience deploying ML systems with MLOps, monitoring and iteration.
• Strong ability to set technical direction and communicate with executives and customers.
• Advanced degree or equivalent leadership in a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Set modeling and architecture standards for your track and lead design reviews.
• Prototype to reduce risk and maintain high engineering bar.
• Lead multi-year AI roadmap initiatives with FTE estimates and delivery commitments.
• Hire, coach, and develop ML engineers with performance management.
• Translate business needs into tractable ML problems and explain model behavior to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other Technical Lead Managers for consistent standards.
• Own production quality including monitoring, drift, retraining, and issue response.
• Represent your track in roadmap, resourcing, and executive reviews.
