Job summary

Vizient is seeking a strategic Engineering Leader to guide AI-enabled analytics platforms, shaping technical roadmaps and coaching engineering teams across product, architecture, data science, and security. Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading engineering organizations in matrixed environments.
• Experience delivering enterprise SaaS, cloud-native, AI-enabled or analytics apps.
• Experience delivering on Azure or other public clouds.
• Knowledge of modern software architecture, microservices, APIs and cloud-native practices.
• Experience partnering with Product, Architecture, Data Science, Data Engineering and Security teams.
• Experience implementing Agile, AI-DLC, DevSecOps, MLOps, CI/CD, IaC, observability and automated testing.
• Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, RAG and intelligent automation.
• Experience with Databricks, Fabric and Azure OpenAI.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
• Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent to strengthen capability and succession.
• Define and execute technical roadmaps aligned with strategy.
• Partner with product, architecture, data science and security leaders to deliver AI-enabled analytics.
• Establish engineering standards and practices for quality, security, scalability and reliability.
• Drive Agile, AI-DLC, DevSecOps, MLOps, CI/CD, IaC, testing and observability adoption.
• Lead delivery of cloud-native apps leveraging analytics, ML and AI.
• Champion Responsible AI principles and AI-DLC governance.
• Lead risk assessment, resource planning and dependency management across teams.
• Define and monitor engineering metrics for quality, AI effectiveness, reliability and maturity.
• Communicate strategy and progress with executives.
• Foster innovation and cross-functional collaboration.
