Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking an AI Engineering Intern to design, develop, and support AI-enabled software across full-stack applications, AI agents, and LLM integrations. You will gain hands-on experience with production-grade AI technologies and cloud-native architectures.

Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions while contributing to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience through internships or coursework in AI, software engineering, data science, or related fields.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS/SE/CE/Data Science/AI with graduation Sept 2027 or later.
• Strong understanding of software fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• Experience with Python, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or similar.
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of software architecture and modern development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools and LLMs to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support AI-enabled software applications using modern languages and cloud architectures.
• Build and integrate AI capabilities such as LLMs, AI agents, and retrieval systems into enterprise apps.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Use AI-assisted tools and modern practices to improve quality, productivity, and delivery.
• Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging AI tech while contributing to docs and testing.
