Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a Staff AI Engineer to build AI-first full-stack applications. You will design and deploy AI-powered workflows, tailor Custom AI Agents, and implement MCP-based context sharing across models and tools.

You will integrate LLM services, ensure reliability for manufacturing systems, and drive end-to-end feature delivery with strong code quality and observability. This is a hands-on, high-impact role.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in full stack software engineering principles and maintainable code.
• Experience designing and deploying production API-first backends and services.
• Proven work with AI agents, MCP and RAG-style systems for scalable apps.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to platform enablement and architecture decisions for AI-first workflows.
• Build and integrate Custom AI Agents to automate tasks and support decision making.
• Develop with MCP-based context sharing and expose capabilities to LLMs.
• Integrate external AI services and ensure 24x7 reliability and security.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling for development, testing, and documentation.
• Gather requirements, design interfaces, and own end-to-end feature delivery.
