Job summary

Synergy Business Consulting, Inc. seeks an AI Engineer to strengthen security posture for enterprise AI initiatives. The role focuses on Python-based development, AI/ML model validation, and securing AI inference across AWS/Azure environments in a hybrid setting.

You will build automated security testing, guardrails, and governance for generative AI and agentic systems, collaborating with enterprise security teams. Miami-area relocation is supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, AI/ML, security engineering, or related engineering environments.
• Strong Python programming and scripting experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML model validation, testing, or security.
• Understanding of how AI/ML models are trained, deployed, secured, and evaluated.
• Experience securing the AI inference layer is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI systems.
• Understanding of AI security risks and controls including prompt injection, data leakage, and AI workload security.
• Experience with AWS and Azure security fundamentals.
• Knowledge of IAM and least-privilege concepts.
• Understanding of application/API security and data protection.
• Familiarity with MCP and secure MCP configuration is a plus.
• Working knowledge of NIST AI RMF or similar AI security frameworks.
• Familiarity with OWASP AI/LLM security concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operate AISPM/DSPM across AI model and inference environments.
• Identify AI security misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, drift, and risk and drive remediation.
• Build model validation and evaluation frameworks to test AI models and pipelines for data leakage, unexpected behavior, robustness, and security weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain inference-layer security controls, including input/output filtering, access controls, and rate limiting.
• Establish identity and least-privilege controls for AI agents and AI-to-AI interactions.
• Implement PHI/PII and data-protection controls across AI environments.
• Partner with Cloud Security teams to establish security guardrails for AI workloads in AWS and Azure.
• Develop Python-based automation and tooling to integrate AI security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI security tools and technologies.
• Support AI security posture management and model validation initiatives across a large enterprise environment.
• Develop secure architecture patterns, standards, documentation, and remediation guidance.
• Help transition mature AI security monitoring capabilities to Security Operations teams.

AI Engineer – Security Posture & Model Validation

We are seeking an AI Engineer – Security Posture & Model Validation to join a newly established AI Security team focused on securing enterprise adoption of Generative AI, AI models, and agentic systems.

This is a highly hands-on engineering opportunity for someone who combines strong Python development skills with AI/ML and cybersecurity experience.

The ideal candidate understands how AI models are built, deployed, validated, and secured—and can translate those concepts into practical security controls, automation, and tooling.

What You'll Be Doing

• Implement and operate AI Security Posture Management (AISPM/DSPM) across AI model and inference environments.
• Identify AI security misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, drift, and risk and drive remediation.
• Build model validation and evaluation frameworks to test AI models and pipelines for:

What We're Looking For

• Familiarity with OWASP AI/LLM security concepts is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex AI security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
