Synergy Business Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced AI Security Engineer to join a newly formed security architecture team focused on securing Generative AI and agentic applications in a large enterprise environment.

This hands-on role combines Python development skills with AI/LLM knowledge and cybersecurity fundamentals to build security controls and testing into engineering workflows. Relocation is supported, including housing and flights, with hybrid work in the Miami area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software/security/AI/ML or platform engineering experience.
• Strong Python programming and scripting ability.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI agents.
• Experience evaluating or improving AI prompts/system prompts.
• Knowledge of prompt injection, jailbreaks, tool misuse, and AI security.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, testing, and automation.
• Understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Knowledge of application/API security and data protection.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.
• Understanding of AWS and Azure security fundamentals.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, SE, AI, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support AI red-teaming and operationalize security findings.
• Help establish secure prompting and agent-development standards across teams.
• Enforce least-privilege, IAM, PHI/PII, and data-protection controls at prompts and tool invocations.
• Contribute to an Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solution for AI-agent permissions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement security controls and guardrails for GenAI and AI-agent applications
• Evaluate, critique, and fine-tune AI system prompts
• Identify and mitigate prompt injection, jailbreaks, and AI-agent/tool misuse
• Build automated evaluation frameworks and regression testing for AI behavior
• Develop primarily Python-based automation, scripts, security tooling, and reusable libraries
• Integrate AI security controls and testing into CI/CD and engineering workflows
• Support AI red teaming and operationalize findings from AI security posture platforms
• Help establish secure prompting and agent-development standards across application teams
• Help enforce least-privilege, identity, PHI/PII, and data-protection controls at the prompt and tool-invocation layer
• Contribute to an Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solution designed to track AI-agent permissions and activity

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, AI/ML, or platform engineering
