Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles seeks an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and agent workflows. You will build reliable integrations between AI systems, data sources, APIs, and cloud services, and evaluate models and orchestration patterns for business value.

You will create rapid prototypes, reusable frameworks, and demo-ready solutions while collaborating with product teams and stakeholders to translate concepts into scalable, maintainable AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, AI, ML, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years in software/AI engineering, cloud app development or related work.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language; experience with REST APIs, source control, and cloud deployments.
• Experience with Python strongly preferred; experience with C#, JavaScript, TypeScript preferred.
• Experience with Azure AI Services, Microsoft Foundry, LLMs, RAG, and multimodal AI technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and deploy AI-powered applications and agent workflows.
• Build integrations between AI systems, data sources, APIs, and cloud services.
• Configure, test, and assess AI models, agents, and orchestration patterns.
• Create rapid prototypes and demo-ready AI-enabled solutions.
• Develop reusable frameworks, documentation, and repository structures.
• Support product concepts like Virtual Caddie and conversational experiences.
• Apply software engineering discipline to code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and iterate quickly.
• Monitor emerging AI technologies and identify practical opportunities.
