Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is hiring an AI Engineer in Augusta, GA to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and intelligent agents that support PACE Advanced Concepts innovation initiatives.

You will integrate AI systems with enterprise data, APIs, and cloud services, and evaluate models, orchestration patterns, and Microsoft Foundry capabilities to deliver practical business value.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required.
• Years of Experience: 5 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning engineering, cloud application development, or related technical work.
• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language; experience with REST APIs, source control, and cloud deployments; Python strongly preferred; Azure AI Services, Microsoft Foundry, LLMs, and RAG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and deploy AI-powered applications and workflows.
• Build integrations between AI systems and enterprise data sources, APIs, and cloud services.
• Configure, test, and assess AI models, agents, and orchestration patterns.
• Create rapid prototypes and demo-ready solutions translating ideas into working AI-enabled applications.
• Develop reusable frameworks, documentation, and repository structures for maintainability.
• Support product concepts such as Virtual Caddie and conversational/multimodal AI capabilities.
• Apply software engineering discipline to maintain code quality, testing, and scalable patterns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and iterate quickly.
• Monitor emerging AI technologies and propose practical opportunities.
