Job summary

Welltower is seeking an AI Engineer, Product to own agent-driven tooling and the product surface across the business. You’ll work with real data, iterate quickly with users, and build reusable surfaces that scale across teams.

This hands-on role emphasizes product behavior and actionable outputs rather than frontend alone, with on-site work in the NYC metro area. You’ll collaborate with data scientists and product teams to deliver trustworthy AI capabilities that inform decisions and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years shipping production software, with the depth to own a product surface end to end.
• Have deployed an agent in a commercial production environment.
• Experience building data-dense, decision-support, or analytics products where users act on the output.
• Ability to build fast against messy, real data and iterate in front of users.
• Based in the NYC metro area and able to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship the product surface: the agent-driven tools, interfaces, and workflow tooling used by teams.
• Design, tune, and evaluate how agents behave in the product for trustworthy outputs.
• Work embedded with users, translating real-work into working software on real data.
• Get to a live, useful output fast, then iterate against direct feedback.
• Build configurable, reusable surfaces rather than one-off rewrites to accelerate future builds.
• Work off a live demo on real data as the spec rather than lengthy requirements documents.
