Job summary

American Airlines is seeking an AI software engineer to design and implement enterprise AI solutions. You'll collaborate with business partners and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure platforms using domain-driven design and TDD.

You will build AI agents and automations with Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and Claude, while guiding citizen developers with reusable templates and guardrails to ensure safe adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems or related field.
• 1+ years of SDLC experience designing and implementing large-scale applications.
• 1+ years of professional and open-source experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders and analysts to translate requirements into AI solutions.
• Maintain and enhance enterprise services using domain-driven design and TDD.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and implement robust fixes.
• Create project specifications, requirements, and estimates.
• Research and implement new AI technologies to improve processes and security.
• Work with architects to ensure scalable long-term growth.
• Build AI agents and low-code automations using Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and Claude tools.
• Develop reusable templates, prompts, and guardrails for citizen developers.
• Participate in all phases of development with agile and TDD practices.
