Job summary

TrustMotion, part of NXP, seeks a Senior AI Engineer to design, optimize, and deploy AI solutions on embedded platforms. You will work on LLMs and VLMs, fine-tune models, and build AI agents within MCP tool ecosystems, guiding peers and maintaining cutting-edge knowledge.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs, VLMs, or other Generative AI systems.
• Experience with model fine-tuning and evaluation techniques.
• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AI solutions based on LLMs and VLMs.
• Independently solve complex AI engineering problems and drive their implementation.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design of AI solutions.
• Fine-tune models for specific use cases and domains.
• Develop and maintain AI agents using modern agentic frameworks.

Join TrustMotion part of NXP TrustMotion part of NXP is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our growing team working on next-generation AI solutions for embedded platforms. The role focuses on the development, architecture, fine‑tuning, optimization, and deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs), with a strong emphasis on bringing AI from concept to execution on hardware platforms.

• Good understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, VLMs, or other Generative AI systems
• Experience with model fine‑tuning and evaluation techniques
• Experience using AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar
• Strong understanding of AI system design and software engineering best practices
• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks
• Experience with MCP tools and AI tool integration
• Understanding of version control systems and collaborative software development practices
• Knowledge of model optimization and edge AI deployment
• Experience with Linux environments
• Experience working with multimodal AI systems
• Embedded systems experience, particularly in AI model deployment and performance optimization
• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers
• All candidates should have a valid visa and work permit to work in Serbia.
