Job summary

PlanIT Group in Reston, VA seeks an AI Engineer- Level III with strong background in AI/Automation initiatives. This contract role offers on-site work with flexibility for remote delivery and requires deep expertise across Oracle Forms/Reports, SAP ERP, WebSphere, Tomcat Java, Python, and GitHub.

You will assess current HR systems, propose improvements, develop AI models, and produce project documentation while engaging with stakeholders.

Reston, VA Contract On-Site Flexibility/Remote: 100%

AI Engineer- Level III (Remote)

List of tasks to be performed

• Conduct a thorough assessment of the current HRTS applications landscape and document existing gaps and opportunities for AI and Automation
• Propose solutions and recommendations for system enhancements, including software updates, integrations, and process improvements.
• Generate AI Models and Algorithms for HR purposes
• Develop project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and progress reports.
• Communicate effectively with other team members, stakeholders and business partners
• Four years' proven work experience as an AI Engineer or similar role
• Knowledge of Oracle Forms/Reports, SAP ERP, WebSphere, Tomcat Java, Python and GitHub

Required Experience Level

• Minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years' overall relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in software development leveraging AI , Analytics Support and Leadership role

Additional Required Skills/Experience

• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
• Typically performs all functional duties independently.
• Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis."

Additional Provisions

• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• Once candidate's resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
• If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
• All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
• Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
• The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
