Job summary

Dechert LLP is seeking an AI Engineer to partner with attorneys and business teams to design and deploy secure AI-enabled solutions that improve the delivery of legal services and firm operations. The role spans discovery, rapid development, and production handoff, within security and governance standards.

You will build generative AI assistants, document search, and RAG workflows, while integrating firm applications and applying responsible AI practices across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum experience in software engineering, automation, or AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience with large language models, RAG architectures, and AI governance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with attorneys and business teams to understand workflows and outcomes.
• Design and develop proof-of-concept and pilot AI solutions.
• Build secure AI-enabled applications including generative assistants and knowledge-search tools.
• Develop integrations among firm applications and data platforms.
• Ensure solutions meet data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
