Job summary

Holland & Knight LLP is seeking an AI Legal Engineer to design, build, and operationalize AI-enabled workflows for the firm's practice groups. You will partner with attorneys, knowledge management, IT, and the AI Product team to deliver reliable AI solutions and drive sustained adoption.

The role focuses on prompt design, retrieval pipelines, and governance, with opportunities to shape playbooks, risk controls, and training programs across multiple offices, including Tampa.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent legal background required.
• 3–6+ years in legal, legal tech, knowledge management, or professional services.
• Experience designing or implementing AI, automation, or workflow solutions in legal/professional services.
• Experience delivering training or onboarding programs to attorney or client-facing audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI legal workflows and skills across firm-approved AI tools.
• Partner with attorneys and knowledge management to map workflows and translate needs into AI solutions.
• Develop and maintain retrieval pipelines and reusable workflow components with clear documentation.
• Create evaluation frameworks to measure workflow quality, accuracy, and reliability; iterate based on feedback.
• Lead enablement activities including training sessions, workshops, and 1:1 coaching to drive adoption.
• Develop playbooks and standards to empower attorneys to use AI tools with governance.
